This study catalogue accompanied the 2007 exhibition at the China Institute, New York of 5th to 9th-century Buddhist sculptures from the Xi'an Beilin Museum. Scholarly illustrated background essays on the museum's Buddhist statues and funerary sculptures, and on the Northern Zhou standing Buddhas excavated at Beilin in 2004, introduce the exhibits.
